Our
studio art classes offer students an opportunity to explore themselves,
our society and the world we live in. Students are encouraged to think
creatively, experiment with several choices and exhibit the confidence
to follow through with decision making.
There are two
philosophies that serve as a basis in the art room. "Art is a Universal
Language" is shared with students as we understand how to visually
communicate with one another. "Art is a Reflection of Life" helps us to
understand our surroundings and the relationships that exist within our
life experiences.
Students will learn the foundations in Art 1, and explore them with
more depth in Art 2, 3, and 4. Various medium, techniques and art forms
are addressed in a sequence most conducive to student understanding and
success. Each level of Art offers students a chance to continue growing
as an individual and pursue their personal art style and creative drive,
something that lies within us all!
